    Our Commitment and Financial Support

West Seattle residents request assistance by contacting the West Seatte Helpline. Volunteers talk to each person to gather information and assess their situation and needs. While volunteers are working with clients, they may offer additional referrals and guide them to specific programs for help. The requests to the West Seattle Helpline are reviewed twice a month and pledges are given for assistance to as many families as our funds will allow. All pledges are fulfilled by making the payments directly to the agencies, such as Seattle City Light, Puget Sound Energy, Seattle Housing Authority, Highpoint Management, and others.

    Messages From Our Clients

From SS, "The West Seattle Helpline's pledge helped my family and me make it through the coldest winter in my life! When there is one step to go and you are exhausted, it's amazing heros like the Helpline to pick you up. You helped keep my children off the streets. Thank you." (The West Seattle Helpline pledged rental assistance for this family of three.)

From D.J., "Because at a time like this I only work part-time, 6 hours a week. My husband is disabled, and I am looking for more work but I have not been lucky, and the West Seattle Helpline came through for me and my family. Thank you so much and hopefully one day I can do the same for someone else." (The West Seattle Helpline pledged assistance for this couple's Seattle City Light bill.)
